This question seems like it should have come up about 5-6 years ago.

Now, I'd be happy just to have a job.

But if you really don't like your job that much, just be honest about it when/if you get interviews.

    and, oh

    Agreed.

There should be a free-agent clause.

If they are free to can you whenever, you should be free to leave whenever.

I was at my first full-time job for three months before my current. I've been here since Dec. 2007 though.

5 jobs in a two-year period might send up a red flag, but other than that, go for it.

What is your definition of a "red flag?"

  8. Any prospective employer with an ounce of brains understands that anyone can hit a point in their career where they need to leave a job after a short period of time for a variety of valid reasons. You just don't want to have a resume littered with short stints and flimsy reasons why.

When the old rules applied, I worked somewhere a month and never put it on my resume. Of course, at a previous stop we had an SE work for a day before leaving; I doubt he puts that on the 8x11.

Yeah, I walked out an internship after two or three weeks and don't put it on my resume either.

Well, if you're doing a chronological resume, you could have a real problem if somebody caught on that you dropped a stitch there.

If, as it's pointed out, it mattered.
