Doctor in critical condition after car-bombing in home's driveway

    Looks like the engine block is fine... and that just the cosmetic front-end metal was obliterated.

    I read one account that said he wasn't actually in the car when it blew up... he was approaching it ?? Or next to it ?? That was an early write-through, so I don't know if that's changed.

    I don't believe that particular model (Lexus 400h) offers one of those "start the car with your keys" functions...

    It's almost as if somebody was watching him approach the car and detonated.

    The thing blew up after he had started the car, gotten out, and walked to the front of it.

    Seems the bomb was located in a tire placed in the driveway. It exploded when the doctor stopped to move it.
