that was as cronkitesque as it gets. 8)

  2. Cronkitesque - Great way to describe it.

Listen, I don't care if many people are going to him for the news, at least they're getting it somewhere. The beginning of most of the "news" segment is hard news, with a twisted angle upon observation.

My wife and I watched this when it first aired and we were moved.

Watch the Jon Stewart video and then read the Washington Post opening series on Cheney. That'll yank your chain in 2 different directions.

Would you feel that way about conservatives who get their news primarily from Rush Limbaugh?

Sitting underneath your desk, eating cottage cheese? Classic.

I don't think my school corporation [/Indiana] ever tried to feed us cottage cheese.

That said, this was the first time I saw the Stewart thing in full. Wow.

    Here's the unspoken truth, though.

95 percent of the time here, we all do help and support each other.

Obviously, it never would make a newscast, but for every awful example of an asshole run amok, there are at least 10 other unreported random acts of kindness or, surely, respect. At least that's MHO.

    Have always liked Stewart.

Now like him a lot more.

    Very, very well done.

Not to threadjack this by any means, but Dave also has a very interesting, (though not nearly as moving, IMO).
