Well pern, I tried to go traditional horror. To me, Jaws isn't the traditional horror/slasher flick. Some of my personal tastes went into seeding, which I think went rather well. But that's why movies like Silence of the Lambs, Seven and even Jaws got lower ratings, because to me, I feel there are better HORROR movies out there. I have no beef with what you said about Jaws though. I'm surprised people didn't get on to me for putting the original Phantom in there and not the original Dracula or Frankenstein.

Just one upset -- The Omen over Halloween. That 4/5 matchup between Saw and Silence of the Lambs was brutal. The officials went to a running clock during the second half of the Blair Witch/The Shining game.

PO, I do have my biases when it comes to horror flicks, but picking The Omen over Halloween wow. Admittedly they both have some damn good points to them, especially the music, which makes it a tough choice in a way, but Halloween to me: Vastly superior.

I don't remember either in any great detail, to be honest. I do, however, remember The Omen scared me pretty fucking good. I've always thought Michael Myers was a bit overrated, too.

I'm disappointed Wrong Turn and 28 Days Later didn't make the tourney.

Wrong Turn is very good. If I had went to 64 it would have made the list. 28 Days Later was pretty good too and also would've made the list. I wanted a wide variety of sorts. You've got more suspenseful/psycological horror and then you have the slasher flicks and then there are just plain monster flicks and then you have Religious horror flicks. Come to think of it now, I should have put Poltergeist in there too.

I have no problem with your list. You did a fantastic job capturing old classics with some new favorites. Somebody was always gonna be left at home. I was also quite pleasantly surprised with Cloverfield a couple weeks ago. I watched "The Ruins" last night and I thought it sucked. I'm just glad you didn't include Hostel or Touristas.

I just hate Blair Witch almost as much as I hate BYH and Haley Joel Osment.

That's a ton of hate. I've seen Hostel and Touristas and they both disappointed. I almost left The Omen off the list. it's damn hard trying to remember great horror movies and trying to keep people interested/happy lol. I also left off The Amityville Horror, which would have gotten some votes I bet.
