...or whatever else Delmon Young is doing between at-bats these days.

Wonder what Rob Parker will say about this?

He was hitting .161 in his last 7 games, before today's 0-3.

definite grounds for release then. and he sits against lefties.

Why did he sit against lefties? Supposedly part of the allure of bringing his lardbucket woman-beating druggie ass back onto the roster is that he's a switch-hitter (big fucking deal) and accordingly should not need to be platooned. Oh yeah, the wonderful fucking versatile switch-hitter hits .136 vs lefties (YCGLIU).

Of course, somebody sometime in his career should have told Dmitri Young that we don't care if he's fucking found Jesus, told him to forget the fucking switch hitting, told him to put down the fucking bag of nacho supremes, told him to put down the fucking bottle of Absolut, told him to quit beating fucking women, told him to quit taking fucking drugs, told him to lose 50 fucking pounds or his contract was terminated, told him to fucking do what his fucking managers tell him, but unfortunately, nobody ever told him any of this. So now all there is left to tell him is to haul his fucking lardbag ass out of town.

I suspect it probably won't be anything very similar to that. ;) ;)

There's at least two Tigers that did not like Young and did not want him back on the team when he came off the DL.

Of course no one has come public, but rumors are its a starting infielder and a starting pitcher.

There are other rumors that among other teammates who weren't exactly fond of him were a perennial (well, almost) all-star outfielder, and a perennial (yup) all-star catcher. (These rumors are carryovers from Young's clubhouse rebellion of LAST September. Young, a master Carder, it seems, is convinced that not only is the white Man keeping him down, the light-brown Man is doing it too. If you look at the roster and connect the Hispanic surnames, you can add up a starting OF, starting C, starting IF and one (non-starting) pitcher, and it starts to add up. ::) ) According to one version of last night's fandango, when Leyland said Young was going be pinch-hit for, he loudly suggested Leyland should pinch-hit for the aforementioned outfielder (who, granted, has been slumping mightily of late) instead, as well as accomplish the anatomically impossible. ;) ;)

  6. Ironically, when I got into this biz about five years ago I was told that Young was amongst the nicest guys in baseball. Apparently that's not true any more.

Neifi issued an ultimatum: Either he goes, or I go.

  9. Well atleast now he has enough time to go watch his younger bro throw bats at umpires ;D

Helluva year for the Youngs. Their parents must be so proud.

The funny thing is when Bobby Higginson made the team over Marcus Thames last year, it was Young who basically said it sucked that Thames was cut for a sack of shit. How much of a sack of shit do you have to be to get thrown under the bus by Dmitri Young?

Higginson, with his bloated salary, wasn't getting cut for anybody, Marcus Thames, Al Kaline or Willie Mays.

Can't wait until Parker, or somebody, writes a column suggesting that Dmitri Young move down to Tampa so he can "mentor" his younger brother with his "veteran experience." :D :D :D :D

Bobby Higginson. Now that was a player you could set your watch by.
