    Then you should be fine.

    EDIT: For another two years, anyway. Then the TiVo-DirecTV contract runs out.

    Still looking for some insight into high-speed internet with DirectTV. Also, is there any way around not having a landline for those of us who have switched over entirely to a cell phone?

    when i move in the fall i'm getting directTV so i can get the MLB package

    i'm going with the phone company for internet access. even if you don't have a land line phone i think you can still get DSL from them, but i could be wrong. the only reason we have a land line phone is because my mother-in-law and grandma calls three times a day and we don't want her calling on our cell phones.

    currently i get cable and internet through comcast. the cable lines in my neighborhood are third-world quality. i don't know what they'll be like in my new area but i'm sick of comcast.
