    • Act as main contact to senior management
    • Direct social media strategy with the input of the larger social media team
    • Aid in distribution of League priorities to social media team
    • Determine agency and vendor relationships
    • Maintain relationships with sponsors and broadcast partners
    • Liaise with Communications on sharing social stories with the tech community
    • Build relationships with digital teams at other sports and entertainment organizations
    • Build relationships with sponsors and League partners
    • Monitor industry trends to keep NHL social at the forefront of social activations

    • Passion for social media and marketing with an understanding of marketing via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Foursquare, Vine, YouTube and other emerging social platforms
    • Experience in business development, account management, media planning or marketing
    • Able to develop creative concepts in the social media context
    • Strong ability to analyze data and make advised recommendations on digital marketing and media
    • Strong presentation development and delivery skills

    • 7-10 years of professional experience
    • Direct professional experience in business development or marketing
    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university

    • MS Powerpoint and Excel
    • Marketing campaign analysis
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Deep understanding of social media platform back-ends and third-party posting tools
    • Professional sports / hockey knowledge a strong plus
