Digital Video Editing Question

I have a digital Nikon that shoots video. I took some pics of my baby girl crawling, and I uploaded to my Mac. Now, though, I've discovered that I had the camera titled on its side, and I can't seem to find any way to rotate the image so that I can put together some sort of video.

I have general experience with video editing from my college days, but we weren't using digital stuff then. And I had a top-of-the-line software program to guide me. Now, I just have whatever Mac throws on my machine at the factory.

I really just need to rotate this stuff so I can put together a video for Christmas. Any help out there?
