Just saw something on a Brooklyn pizza place deep frying slices of pizza.
OK, to all of you pizza aficiandos and purists out there, whether it be New York style or Chicago, I've got to ask:
-- is this is a good thing?
    -- Is this overkill?
    -- Is this sacrilege?
    -- Will you try it?

    Let the debate begin!

Were they breading them, or just dropping them into a vat of oil?

This coming from a guy who has had deep-fried icecream and loved it – this is complete sacrilege, will never try it. And people wonder why we as a society are obese.

"Hmmm, now how can we make this pizza completely unhealthy. I know let's drop it in a boiling vat of fat!"

    Try this link:

choose the pizza option on the right. They're making the pizza, then dipping it in batter and then frying it.
I think I agree with y'all on this. It seems like a bit much.
As Ace said, 'Ugh" might be the right reaction.
But then again ... if you haven't tried it ... ????

That looked really disgusting. And that woman sounded like a bad starter in a Plymouth Fury.

This thread is useless without slices.

    Now could they do a deep-fried, deep-dish?
