Dear NFL: Quit having timeouts after kicks

The only thing worse than watching the NFL on TV and all the ads is being there in person and watching everyone stand around. There is nothing worse than when someone scores a TD and they cut to commercial after the PAT. They come back for the kickoff, and then back to commercial. So basically, in a span of eight minutes you have a kickoff and that's it. That is brutal. Not that the NFL is humming along and making money, but they need to quit having those timeouts after kicks.
Perhaps this is why I like soccer so much. No fucking timeouts.

You undercut a pretty strong argument with those last two sentences.

No the worst is running a play for a punt. Commercial. Run the next play. Commercial.
Limit the fucking breaks to change of possession and time outs.
But.. we have to make sure Fox gets all the breaks it can... so we'll throw in time outs for now fucking reason other than Fox and to break up a game's flow...

This is nothing new. Happens in college games all the time, too.

It's annoying as a fan, sure, but when I'm covering a game the breaks give me time to write if I'm on deadline.

The score, commercial, kickoff, commercial sequence is very annoying but it only happens a few times a game. If you watch closely, it happens only after a team has scored on a long drive. If a team scores on something like a 12-play drive, they don't get the breaks in during the drive unless there's an injury, challenge or end of the quarter. They're required to get X amount of commercial breaks in.

You can bitch about it all you want, but it's not going to change.

Hey, three of them were televised. I don't miss CBS' lengthy broadcasts.

Actually it was the penultimate (HI DOOLEY!!!) sentence that killed it.
