    Bad. Worse, they look lazy.

Dead people leave a record. One of the easiest things in the world to check.

  2. How much does this hurt his stock for the draft?

Always wondered about that girlfriend you kept talking about while we played hoops, watched Heat-Mavs or chatted with Most Def.

That's one of the craziest damn things I've ever read.

By the way, brave of Deadspin to risk a boycott from Te'o's dad.

Great story. Not sure if it's very important, however.

Incredible reporting (and more incredible that no one ever looked for a death notice or other details).

The part I can't get is this: Did HE just find out this was bogus? Like, someone called him and said, 'So this is weird...'?

And what possible response can he have to all of this? Weirdest story ever.

Wow. Solid reporting. Will be very interesting to see the fallout from this.

I'm a Michigan fan, and I bought into the Te'o story hook, line and sinker. Hell, after one of the most grueling losses of the season, I actually said "Good for the kid, he deserves to have a little happiness in his life."

If this story is true, wow. I mean, I'm kind of speechless just thinking of everything that went into perpetuating and cultivating this hoax.

Maybe she jumped out of a copter in Korea without her chute like Captain Tuttle.
