Day of Days

Today is the anniversary of the Normandy invasion during World War II, better known as D-Day, although that name isn't wholly appropriate since D-Day has a different meaning in military terms.

Still, it's one of the most pivotal days in American and world history and it would do each of you a little bit of good to take a few minutes and learn a little about the invasion, even if you already know something.

It would also be a good time to thank a World War II veteran, since there are fewer and fewer of them every day. Don't let them leave this world without thanking them for what they did.

    On a different tangent ...
Since today is 06/06/07, and .667 is the batting average for 2-for-3, should today's official song be "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad?"
