I take it you missed the parts where she said she was bulimic and her dad was hitting on her.

Regardless, if she's spoiled, who do you think spoiled her?

Bob, you're talking to a boy whose greatest influences in life are pornography and professional wrestling, and who still wants to beat up the band dorks from high school.

Reason is a waste of time.

Not declaring the girl a patron saint, but the more I read about this, the more I am confident in declaring the parents were god awful at parenting.

Things did not go well for her in court this afternoon.

I imagine the ruling about tuition would go differently were it the school bringing the action, since Rachel has no part of the contract. We shall see when the chance of a credit report delinquency comes up. Regardless, school already said she's going to finish there and not be obligated for the payments. Disappointing to many on this thread for sure.

Judge's simple question about why can't she just go home seems to ignore everything in the document, though there's no way to tell how much (or if any) of the allegations are true. Based on the behavior witnesses by school officials, though, home does not appear to be the best place for her.

You just seem determined to side with the 18-year-old who apparently all but got laughed out of court for the ridiculousness of her argument.
Like most in this thread said she would.
    Because her argument is stupid.
And anyone with half a brain would have known that.
But it makes sense given your previous stance on band geeks who think they are entitled to perform at a football game. Just like with this girl, you like to ignore logic and facts and pretend that everyone should get everything they want when the real world doesn't work that way.
I look forward to your arguments in a future story where a five-year old takes his parents to court seeking compensation for emotional distress because they took away his Captain America action figures and put him in time out.
    ::)
Also, porn and pro wrestling are awesome. Though not together, as evidence by anything involved Chyna.

I should have been more specific. My question is, who started that fund? In my personal anecdote, my grandmother started a fund intended for me. But, being a product of a farmer's lineage and growing up in a depression, she put pennies aside into a savings account as opposed to a college prepayment fund and although she freely told my dad and my aunt that money was my college, she never made it official so my uncle pocketed it. (that and other incidents led to my family imploding after my grandmother's death, but that's for another day).

So, in that context, if the fund came from another family member, or was contributed to by another family member - and possibly the girl, herself, in an indirect way - then, yes, she deserves the money. If it was something mom and dad had been saving on their own, then I'm less rigid in my stance.

    Let's get one thing clear. I don't like hate-porn.
I'm more of a POV guy.
And I didn't realize we were convicting this guy of inappropriately touching his daughter. Must have missed that memo.

  10. Well, a judge is siding with the parents ...

This girl has a hell hole of problems. Nothing any parent is going to fix.

Don't blame him. Given his posts on this board, he may not know how to.
