I think this is hilarious. I wonder what Bettman thinks.

 

We know, of course, that NHL officiating is always utterly flawless and beyond reproach.

The Stars also take cracks at the NFL and MLB.

(I found the baseball one curious because owner Tom Hicks also owns the Rangers.)

 

As the story notes, Hicks thought the baseball one was hilarious.

That's a pretty decent ad campaign.

 

So they admit that the main draw to hockey is breaking the rules? Half of the ads were championing the fighting.

 

I like it. Especially:

At 32 Degrees, ice freezes and blood boils.

 

I like it, too. Most of them are very clever.

Not a big fan of the "look at us, we punch each other in the face" tone some of the ads take, though.

 

Good for them. That's something the NFL needs: A bit of spunk.

 

I'm not a big fan of fighting but still, nice ads.

I miss seeing the Black Hawks at Fair Park.
