hey guys, did you hear he's got this pitch called the gyroball? it's the stuff of legends. no one in the history of baseball has ever thrown it. it was developed by japanese scientists.

No one's suggesting that. (OK, maybe some are...) There are, however, quite a few other teams in MLB who deserve, and whose fans demand, better coverage.

Uh, I haven't seen Dice-K pitch live yet, so I am enjoying the broadcast. And I live in Cleveland!

Wow, so you must have missed the ESPN broadcast last week ... and the week before.

They work just as hard as everyone else. They deserve equal coverage. This sounds like phone calls we get about the JV girls swim team...

I just don't understand what's so hard about printing everyone's name. It's not like you guys have to write something about everyone, and I think your readers would rather hear an uplifting story about girls who are working hard and doing really well than read another article about Barry Bonds and his stereos.

I'm watching, and I'm impressed so far.

Straight fastball hitting 93-95 on the gun.

Tough cutter in on the hands hitting 86-87.

    Baffling array of junk.

    Could he he for real?

I love that they think Varitek has to explain "catcher's interference" to him.

Guys, he's from Japan, not Jupiter.

"now when you throw four pitches outside of the strike zone, that's called a walk, or a base on balls. that's why the batter went to first base..."

As a Reds fans, I'm just happy to be watching what will likely be Cincy's only appearance on ESPN.

    Is Sutcliffe drunk yet?
