Cubs Manager Lou Pinella To Retire

ESPN just announced that Lou is retiring after today's game.

 

Sad ending to his career.

Sucks to be Alan Trammell.

 

Unless Trammell really really needs the money, he should resign on the spot.

It would suck to hear that privately (pretty much what led to my leaving a good job once), but to have him announce it? Uncalled for.

I love Lou. Always been a good guy in my book. I think the game has passed him by a bit and he's feeling detatched. I hope he's out for good and enjoys his life. He doesn't need the money or the aggravation that comes with it.

 

Even with the old man gone, he'll become a special advisor to the Yankees. He'll get to stay home in Tampa and collect a paycheck for doing virtually nothing.
