When I was a kid, a purple Crown Royal bag held our Scrabble tiles. I was well into my teenage years until I figured out that the bag was not standard board-game equipment.

Friend of mine adores Jack Daniels. We threw a birthday party for her a couple days ago and I bought her a bottle of single-barrel Jack. Single-barrel Jack tastes like you'd expect Jack to taste, but much much smoother. We took a swig of that, then followed that with a shot of plain ol' Jack, and that tasted like Aristocrat. So I probably ruined her for that stuff.

Seagram's Five Star is what I remember from younger days.

Five Star and Corn Flakes was the breakfast of champions back in the day JJ.

When my old man would get together with his older brother (whose Scottish accent was even thicker than his) they would inevitably start with "a wee hoff", which was usually a shot or two of Chivas Regal (if my uncle had had a good day or two betting the trotters at Greenwood) or Johnny Walker Red followed by numerous bottles of Labatt 50.

Never tried Gentleman Jack (have been incredibly sick drinking the regular stuff on the rare occasions when I am stupid enough to do it) but I always have a bottle on hand when my aunt from Tampa stays with us while visiting her elderly mother. She can dust a bottle of that stuff in a couple of days.

I go through a bottle of CR every 2 weeks or so. Nothing beats a Crown and coke when I get home from work, and nothing beats a slug of CR, neat, at my favorite bar downtown.

Canadian Club with Orange Juice for me. Yes, I know, I'm strange.

I took a shot of Canadian Club for the first time the other night at a wedding. I was shocked at how smooth it was. I am a GIGANTIC pussy when it comes to shots, and it went down like it was nothing. Thumbs up.

I'm going to try a Canadian Club tonight, just because of this thread.
