    I have to admit, at first, I figured this was just Drudge focusing attention on what has always been happening.

    But, it's becoming clear that this is something different.

    Central Americans are rushing here, based on a belief that this is the time to come if you want to be able to stay permanently. And, it's becoming a real humanitarian crisis.

    or perhaps World Cup referees hoping to escape the wrath of angry Mexican after disallowing two goals which were totally not offside.

    Perhaps this is the downside of the proposed immigration reforms. Will it open the floodgates to every Juan and Jose in Latin America?

    I went down to the corner yesterday to get my usual job as a day-laborer and they were already all gone by nine! (Thanks NAFTA!)

    Funny part is that right now I can't find anyone to cut my lawn and weed the flower beds.

    If they start letting more immigrants in, so much for affordable health care.

    Never said that. I have it pretty good. But there are more than enough Latinos (legal and illegal) in the city where I live. Surely don't want to roll out the red carpet for any more.
