The real BS of Klemko's mea culpa is throwing the ESPN writers under the bus because of some throwaway line in the Borland story - equating what he did to their not pushing to find out the name of the player.

I'm curious as to why this thing is on this site rather than the one it should be on.

    Carter's apology:

“I can’t make an excuse for what my mindset was. My heart was in the right place. I didn’t use words that I was very proud of. It’s not the kind of advice I would offer young people. I would never tell young people to break the law or avoid prosecution. It was bad advice. I really, really regret my words when I heard them come back to me."

That's just a bunch of phrases mashed together, really.

I especially like the "I would never tell young people to break the law or avoid prosecution" line.

It's precisely what he did - here's how you avoid prosecution.

    Good question. Good question.

I'm guessing he couldn't have thrown ol ESPN under the bus on the MMQB site.

Schilling should get a fall guy to do his tweeting for him.

Keith Law is Schilling's fall guy.

Well, I'm not the kind to bitch and yell,
But I've done crimes for Warren.
I've the one whose done the time, so fine.

I've been on fire with Plaxico Burress,
Gone to jail with a girl for Ben,
But somehow it’s my ass on the line

    It's a death defyin' life I lead,
    I take my chances.
I do work for Peyton and Brady.
But the hardest thing I ever do
    Is watch my buddies
Score some TDs while I’m on my knees.

I might get caught with a pound a dope,
I might roll a brand new car.
'Cause I'm the unknown fall guy that made Cris Carter such a star.

I've never spent much time in school
But the NFL taught me plenty.
It's true I hire my body out for pay, Hey Hey.

I've gotten burned over Gerald Riggs,
Blown up for Drew Brees too.
But when I wind up in the hay it's only hay, Hey Hey.

I might jump a spike a coeds soft drink,
Or get drunk on a bottle of wine.
'Cause I'm the unknown fall guy that made Cris Carter look so fine
