I hate Cowherd with all that I am and agree the night guys are pretty terrible.

I really like Van Pelt and Gottlieb, though.

I'd go with Gilbert and Lumpy.

I wanna read the episode where Nick gets ripped by several people for ripping off stuff from ngoblog.com and passing it off as his own.. wow, the hilarity will ensue then...

Our only hope is to pray for the casting of Ted McGinley. (Edit comment) "

And maybe Carla Gugino as the female lead...

And then he gets really mad when the readers e-mail him about what a ratard he is? That sounds like a better pilot.

Or the one where Beadle is in the show and not Cowherd.

Way to ruin the best sports day of the year, guys.

Excuse me while I pour Drano in my eyes and jam pencils into my ears so I don't have to see or hear any more about this.

Oh, and let's not forget Mark Schlereth sitcom:

Lousy sitcoms about hacky ESPN personalities? The Address is CBS!

You know what is sad? The people who produce TV shows are just like people who work at newspapers. You "discover" something - how much work is involved in getting a kid into college, Facebook, homebrewing beer, community gardens, private youth sports coaches, book clubs etc. and you decide it is "a story" that is subsequently published in a newspaper.
TV people listen to a radio show, the wife goes back to work, you learn a sibling is gay and voila - "Hey, that could be a TV show!." Hell - even Lost was taken from an idea about fictionalizing "Survivor."
