I won't set any records, but given the amount of triathlon training I'm doing, I could take it down. My GI tract is like a coal-burning stove, and most of what I eat is like tossing a couple toothpicks in there. A 72-ounce steak and sides could take care of me for a while.

    Bottomless Pete, nature's cruelest invention.

Come for the freak. Stay for the food.

Before you start, make sure you know the quickest way to the restroom.

I searched that web site but couldn't find it ... if you fail, you much does it cost?

Having been to the Big Texan and having seen one of the 72-oz. steaks, I wouldn't eat it at all.

There was more gristle and fat than meat.

Imagine being the chef in the kitchen who pulls the slip that says he has to cook one of those beasts.

    Fuck that.

I have been to this place a couple of times and although I believe that there are a number of food eating challenges that I can win, this is NOT one of them.

That isn't a steak. It is a freaking roast. It could easily feed a medium-sized family, without the sides. I might be able to come close to putting the meat away, but the sides are a killer.

    9.5 minutes? Ridiculous.
