Interesting radio- Steve Somers gets taken out by Tom Coughlin:

  2. Re: Coughlin Rude to WFAN's Sommers

    Is that for real?
And why does Steve Somers sound like Mel Brooks doing the 10,000-year old man?

Gawd, he does sound like the 10,000-year-old man.

And what a warm, fuzzy guy Coughlin is...
  8. He also sounds like Rob Reiner doing the talk-show, "Schmooze For Jews" in Primary Colors.

I would think a guy who has the ability to get the coach's home number and get through to his hotel room must have some kind of a relationship with the organization and the coach.

That "Coughlin" would spend that much time instead of just hanging up makes me think it was a schtick, completely a spoof with a Coughlin impersonator. Near the end, Somers mentions some anchor and Coughlin sings the guy's praises.
