Cory Lidle's plane crashes in NYC

    CNN reporting a small plane or helicopter hit an apartment building at E. 72nd and York.

    It was ARod. Aimed for the Empire State Building, but missed.

    Not the same as the WTC, but I'm sure it brings back way too many memories for New Yorkers and others.

    I hope and pray no one was seriously injured.

    Hi-rise building with nearly 200 apts on 72nd and York...three apts appear to be on fire on 25th or 26th floor of a 50-floor building

    Helicopter hit the 40th and 41st floors of a 50-story condo/apt building. The building at 524 72nd Street and York Ave. (near the East River) has been evacuated as has the high-rise next door at 520 72nd Street.
    No reports yet of how many injured.

    I must've misread some of the other posts, because I'm either completely missing the point of the post or I totally overlooked whatever prompted it.
