Looking for a Multimedia Sports Copy Editor

Duties include managing the flow of sports copy at night, providing a first -- and often only -- read on local sports material, preparing local and wire material for a central design hub and posting stories online and to social media. Requires strong editing and headline-writing skills as well as a functional understanding of SEO practices. Also requires an understanding of sports statistics and the ability to work quickly under deadline pressure while communicating with reporters who are out of the office and designers who are 1,000 miles away. This editor will be required to handle regular, non-sports news, as well, so a general-news background is essential.
