    When the consolidated desk was first brought up, I had heard it was going to Winston-Salem also. What happened to change that, anybody know?

    And goodbye to some esteemed colleagues. I've had the privilege of working with several of these people. They're first-rate.

    Unfortunately we saw that movie play out here almost four years ago. Some of those of us who who are left still haven't gotten over it. We have a lot of empty desks here in the newsroom.
