    Echo Freddie Washington.

The Fresh Prince wasn't bad either.

The correct answer. In fact, the entire team (certainly Thorpe and Salami) was cooler than the rest of the characters in high school sitcom history.

And I have to believe vice principal Sybil Buchanon and Coolidge would have been the original Poindexter files case had there been an Internet.

    Coolidge. And then Heyward.

Was thinking where Keith Partridge might rank: guitar player, singer, pop idol, no shortage of groupies. Some pretty nice marks in the debit column.

But, having your Mom play in the same band brings down the score several notches. for sure.

Among the many fascinating things about "The White Shadow" is that three of the kids on the team went on to become accomplished directors.

Thomas "Hayward" Carter directed several episodes of Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere, as well as films such as Coach Carter and Save the Last Dance.

Tim "Salami" Van Patten has been a go-to director for several great HBO shows, including The Sopranos, The Wire, Deadwood, Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones.

Kevin "Thorpe" Hooks directed several episodes of Prison Break and Lost.

Coolidge was coooool but Heyward was a cool dude. I'd put Heyward first.

    Washington.

Because Vinnie Barbarino tried too hard.

Chachi was cool until he got his own show.

That's a good point. He had a maturity the others lacked. And he showed legitimate coolness when he bonded with the Soviet kid who wanted to defect.
