Wingnut screech radio is screaming that her appearance was some kind of stunt/charade and asking with deep personal concern if she is really competent to be casting votes.

    Stay classy, idiots.

It was a stunt... A damn good one...

But there's nothing wrong with it. She showed up to do her job.

I don't care what party you belong to, if seeing her there didn't at least make you smile, you don't have a soul.

Yeah, her return was a "stunt."
    Sheesh.

Giffords arrived with only minutes left in the vote. Very few people, if any, knew she would be in attendance. Pelosi described her entrance as "dramatic." Stunt, absolutely.

Should anyone care? No. Good for her.

    Yeah, it was a stunt.

But at least, she didn't declare a war to be over.

The take-no-prisoners teabaggers tearing their hair over the passage of the deal are calling the talk shows demanding she publicly "explain" her vote, to prove it was "really her making the decision and not her handlers," and huffing that the "vote must be thrown out" if it is somehow determined she was "not fully in control of her faculties."

    Awesome.

There's no question it was a stunt.

It provided a feel-good moment over something that few feel very good about...

I have no problem with it whatsoever.

If they put in a rule that members of congress must be "fully in control of their faculties," they might as well shut the whole joint down.

    That's pretty funny...

She's getting it from the left, too: Bill Maher tweet:

"Can't get with media swoon over Gabby Gifford return to congress,a body that didn't have the balls to outlaw machine guns on streets of USA."
