computer (screen) help?

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Evil ... Thy name is Orville Redenbacher!!, Mar 6, 2013.

  1. Any idea why my computer screen is now subtly alternating in shades of blue?

    Maybe it's sad.

If its Windows XP or earlier your computer is trying to decide if it wants to go to the blue screen of death or not. I don't know if that exists in Windows 7 or 8.

Me and our tech guy have reached an understanding. If he says "reboot" I punch him in the face.

May be something as simple as needing a new ribbon (not the technical term, but that's basically what it looks like) for the monitor. Is it a lap top? If so, all the opening and closing eventually wears this one piece out. Might cost about 100 bucks to replace if you have someone do it for you.

  8. It is an XP.
But the blue screen - of varying hues - are only when I am on the Internet.

    It is a desktop model.
