Computer question

My laptop started running slowly and badly last night. Today I called the IT guy at our shop and he got me into running an eTrust Antivirus check. Told me it would take up to an hour.

The thing is still running more than five hours later. It's detected and supposedly eliminated three viruses so far. Has anyone else ever run this and had it take so damn long? Any suggestions?

You've got problems with your laptop, no doubt.

Shut down the virus scan, restart your computer.

Go to www.free.grisoft.com and download the free version of AVG.

    Install and run.

Then return for your next task.

Thanks, Rosie. I shut down and restarted and everything is running fast again.
