    The USGA seeks a Communications intern to provide media relations and communications support for USGA championships both on-site and from the home office in Far Hills, NJ.

    DUTIES INCLUDE:
    Supervision of production of Player Guides for the U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open and U.S. Senior Open. Assistance with the collection and posting of championship qualifying results to USGA Web sites. Assistance with the development of the championship player biographical database. Assistance with researching, writing, fact checking and proofing of content for USGA communications. Assistance with on-site posting of content on www.usga.org and other USGA web sites.

    KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
    Requires general communications and media relations skills, as well as familiarity with special events operations. A journalism background or writing experience is a must, as are up-to-date computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate on the phone and via email. Familiarity with USGA history and practices desirable.
