Comedy Central Roast of Larry the Cable Guy

What about a roast of Ron Popeil?

 

I think a Larry the Cable Guy roast would be too fatty for my taste.

 

They should have invited David Cross.

 

Prepared on the Showtime Rotisserie?

 

What was the story with those two? Doesn't Cross have something in his act where he rips Larry the Cable Guy?

 

I wish they had spent more than about two lines every round roasting Larry the Cable Guy. They spent the vast majority of the time making fun of the other comedians, and even there kind of repeating the same jokes over and over.

Maybe that's the way it always goes. Not a big roaster.

 

He's a couple of huge, vitriolic posts on his web site about Larry the Cable Guy, or as he calls him, Dan Whitney (Larry's real name). Cross, an Atlanta native, is part insulted by Larry's awfulness, and part insulted about the Nebraska native's adoption of the stereotypical Southern schtick. You can find YouTube videos of Dan Whitney when he performed under his own name and, well, sounded like a guy from Nebraska.

 

I thought twice about reading this thread.

 

I said a while ago on here that Larry's a hack, and it's only one of the reasons I won't pay him any mind. The four of those idiots are doing their parts to further down down the nation -- and more -- and it's disgusting.

I give Ron White a pass, he's funny. The rest of them suck donkey dick.

 

That is some seriously unfunny stuff there. And I don't mean in the "I'm offended" way. Just....nothing funny.
