From Reilly's column in the Kevin Durant issue:

"You say it boggles your mind how we can watch a college basketball game that was played in 1969. We say it boggles our mind how you can watch Rachel Ray make a meatloaf."

Though, in fairness, I love this line:

"When we get home from playing golf, there's no point asking, "So how did Leonard's transplant go?" We have no idea."

This is a constant source of frustration for my wife.

    I'll talk to a friend.

Wife: "So how is John Doe's pregnant wife doing?"

    Me: "I don't know."

Wife: "Does John Doe like his new job?"

Me: "I don't know, we didn't talk about it."

Wife: "Do they like their new house?"

    Me: "Don't know."

Wife: "What did you guys talk about???"

Me: "I dunno ... lotta stuff."

Absolutely bang-on stuff right there. I don't know how many times I've gotten off the phone with a friend and the questions begin.
How's he doing? Okay, I guess.
    How's his wife? No clue.
What's new with them? Couldn't tell ya.
Any details about our trip coming up? Nope.
How does he feel about it? I have no idea.
    How's his family? I don't know.
What's their new place like? I didn't know they had a new place.
How's his job going? We didn't talk about it.
How does she feel about his job? I don't know.
Are they trying to have a kid? I have no idea.
What did he say about your family? We didn't talk about it.
Well, what did you guys talk about? Hockey, sports, you know, lots of stuff.
