Columnist happy to see NFL personnel laid off

    Exactly. I don't think we should celebrate anyone getting laid off, although I will find it harder to muster a tear if Ms. Erbe "seeks other exciting opportunities," voluntarily or not.

    The banner ad at the top of the page for "FLICK FOOTBALL," if you read it from afar, looks like it says "FUCK FOOTBALL."

    Bonnie Erbe buying banner ads on SportsJournalists.com?? :eek: :eek:

    If you become a subscriber, you won't see banner ads. If you're lucky, you might not see Bonnie Erbe, either.

    She must have thought the actual players were being laid off.

    I think her point was that the layoffs are a sign that the NFL is hurting, and she believes that is a good thing.

    I would be more cheery hearing tales of Jerry Jones' and the Steinbrenners' uberexorbitant PSLs being left to gather dust.
