    LOL. I remember a certain bowl official saying several years ago (2007) "The system only works if you have the right pieces in place. If you have, say, Oregon or West Virginia, it doesn't work nearly as well." (rough paraphrase)

    If Notre Dame somehow goes undefeated with its schedule, its in the title game. Period. I doubt that will happne, but in the scenario described above, you would take Notre Dame and either Oregon or possibly Mississippi State.

    Never mind that half the state of Mississippi can't read or write, but to get to 13-0, MSU would have to somehow beat LSU, Alabama and South Carolina, which is even more far-fetched than Notre Dame winning at Oklahoma and USC.
