Pegues out for Miss. State's season opener at Louisiana Tech.

On a side note, why the hell is State playing AT Louisiana Tech?

The worst training staff in college football strikes again. For those keeping score:

2005- QB DJ Shockley out for potential SEC East clinching game
2006- PK Brandon Coutu out for half of regular season, has to be replaced by rancid backup; TB Thomas Brown out for half of regular season
2007- TB Thomas Brown misses a few more games; TB Kregg Lumpkin's football career essentially comes to an end (how these Gomers didn't screw up Knowshon earlier is beyond me)

Great stuff, fellas. Do me a fucking favor and keep your damn tainted mitts off, say, guys named "Stafford" or "Moreno" or "King" or "Green" or "Massaquoi" or "king cranium maximus IV," okay? Thanks. Morons.

There's an ad for Georgia ringtones as I'm writing this. Nice shot of 'Nique.

How are you going to blame the kinds of injuries that happen everywhere on Georgia's training staff? I'm lost.

    Goodwill gesture.
State's laying groundwork for other schools who might someday trade equal with D-I little guys.
I'll be in Ruston with my wife, and spend nite in Shreveport (casino).
    'Caint wait !

King has established clearly his belief that Georgia players are gods who walk among us and crap ice cream, so there's no way they could be injured through happenstance. Who's ever heard of an offensive lineman's knee getting injured? Clearly it's the training staff's fault.

Oh, I know that. I was just hoping to hear his full hypothesis.

According to ESPN.com's Chris Low and his awesome SEC blog, Ole Miss DE Greg Hardy is out for 6 to 8 weeks. Huge blow for the Rebs.

Why is Vandy opening the season at Miami, Not Florida? Strange things happen with the schedule sometimes. Hell, I can remember Alabama playing at (then) Southwest Louisiana.

Believe MSU's playing at Middle Tennessee in one of the upcoming years. You'll start to see more of that.
