College football tab swap? CLOSED

Here in Ann Arbor, we're constantly in search of college football preview sections to compare with our product (and, of course, steal from for the future).

With that in mind, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a mass swap of previews/tabs.

Here's how it would work: Everyone participating sends me 10 of their own tab/preview. In return, I'd then send you back single copies from all the other papers that participate If we got 11 papers to participate, everyone would get 10 tabs/previews to analyze.

    If you're interested, e-mail me at jcarty@annarbornews.com

When I know how many other papers want in, I'll tell you how many copies to send me.

    Jim

Get Orlando's... It's consistently one of the best I've ever seen...

Of course, they probably spend more $$$ on it than your staff's budget for the year, but don't let that discourage you from enjoying every bit of it...

Nice idea Jim, big-time shot from Mizzou aside.

Hell, I'd rather see what the non HUGE budget folks do anyway. Real, live creativity rather than all the glitz money can buy.
And that's not a knock on Orlando, which I've always said is one of my favorite sections.

That one sounded more cold/cruel/vicious than average. And the kicker is I don't think you meant it to be cutting.

I didn't see it as a shot. I read it as Orlando spent big bucks on their tab. Nothing more.

That's how I read it, too.

I'm in, Jim. You've been E-mailed. I said 10 tabs were on their way, but then re-read your original message; I'll hold until you see how many takers we have.

Yeah I'm sure some of you guys with a sports staff larger than my paper's entire newsroom could care what a bunch of jack-of-all-trades do on their own...

That wasn't in any way a shot at Ann Arbor... It was just acknowledging how much money and time the Sentinel spends on their tab...

But thanks for throwing me under the bus Moddy... :)

why so cynical? sounds to me like this is exactly what people want -- to check out what the big timers and not-so-big timers are doing.

I hear Tuscaloosa puts out a great football tab, college and prep.
You should contact them, Jim, to see how they operate. I hear their SE is a great guy.

    No problem, homes.
I "know" you well enough to believe you completely but admit it: It reads like a shot.
