I just think it’s weird that he can’t go to the Combine, but he can still be drafted.

Well, they wouldn’t want him or someone else just being a free agent and potentially getting a monster deal. Otherwise, too guys would be beating up people at will in order to be free agents instead of getting drafted.

Lots of guys skip the combine on their own or aren't invited for one reason or another (low draft stock, small school, etc.). It's a big reason most schools have their own pro day for their guys.
Simmons will be fine. I doubt this will hurt his draft position very much. It's not like the incident is unknown or even recent, which is why it's a really stupid reason to keep him out.

Not really. He had a documented, confirmed case of a fan calling him a n----- during a game last year. Georgia confirmed it, kicked the kid off the baseball team and maybe out of school (??). That was always going to be their case and wasn't much the NCAA could do to deny it.

Well, this is a terrible idea.
The NCAA football rules committee, in an effort to eliminate something that happens once every three or four years, has proposed a rules change to overtime. Beginning with the fifth overtime, instead of a full possession we'll have a two-point conversion shootout. The rule proposal still has to be passed by the football oversight committee in April.
No word on whether the basketball committee will follow suit and decide any game that goes longer than two overtimes with a free throw contest.
