Aside from the Cocktail Party and Iowa/Penn State, this is a kraptacular selection of games.

ABC has to be thrilled to go to Shitwater and watch that mess.
Can't quite figure out why CBS would want that Notre Dame game in primetime. Are they playing on Coronado Island or on a boat or something? I would think the Cocktail Party game would do pretty well at night.

Does Notre Dame step on its dick in the next five games or does it get curbstomped in the semifinal game?

The game that looks way too easy is NC State.

They'll never play that game at night. And 3:30 is home to their SEC game of the week.

They're doing this in primetime because they have rights to Navy games, so why not make the most of it when Notre Dame's the visitor and it's on the West Coast?

Iowa getting points at Penn State could be a play. The motivated vs. the unmotivated.

I'd be tempted to ride Purdue, even though the week after a huge upset is never easy. But Sparty's gotta be deflated.

Wisconsin -6 seems kind of short.

    Fair enough.
I would assume they will put Alabama @ LSU at night in 2 weeks.
Georgia @ Kentucky the other good SEC game that week.

It's also a pretty weak week for SEC games since four teams are on a bye. Texas A&M at Mississippi State is the next best game.

Speaking of which, how is Mississippi State favored over anybody, much less a Top 25 team, after the past month?

Thinking if you lay the points against the two Georgia schools on Thursday, your weekend should be off to a good start.

This might be the week Iowa returns to Earth. Their final four games after this are all winnable, though.

Michigan State has a ton of injuries, especially on offense. I would take Purdue over Sparty.

Wisconsin might beat Northwestern by 30.

Last night time cocktail party was an ESPN Primetime game in 2002 and holy shit was that a nightmare for Jacksonville's law enforcement inside and outside the stadium.

    I should have said “again.”

I taught at a Catholic high school in Jacksonville in the past decade. There were three premier school year weekends that were certain to entail drunken rich kid social debauchery circled on every calendar and those were Florida-Georgia, The Players and — weirdly, perhaps — Monster Jam.
