    It's unreal how many people dislike Digger Phelps. I can say with no exaggeration that I've never heard someone say anything to the effect of, "Man, that Digger Phelps is one hell of an analyst. I really enjoy listening to him."

    It almost makes one wonder how the hell he still has a job.

    I hated him loooong before he was an analyst. My genesis for despising Notre Dame is pure Digger. He was just as much an ass as a coach as he is now. As a Marquette fan growing up, he was such an easy villian.

    Transference from that to Notre Dame football hatred was an equally easy transition.

    This is gonna be one looooooooooooong season .... again in Lexington. Fans will be clamoring for Billy Clyde's head if this keeps up.

    Oh, and what happened to that fast pace Billy Clyde promised? Yeah, I'm sure as hell seeing it tonight.
