Don't see Ole Missy going dancing now. That early-season creampuff schedule did nothing to help them now that they're tanking it in SEC play

The Shrine of Kreklow smiles upon the Bulldogs today. Drake defeats UNI in C.F., 65-55.

Uh, no they won't. The may finish second, but I doubt it.

Memphis gets old fashioned 3-point play with 6.5 seconds left to win by one at UAB.

I think Vandy may overtake the Cats, but an 11-5 or 10-6 finish in the conference would still be a solid end to what started as a miserable season for UK.

Watched a bit of Washington-Oregon State tonight (no, it wasn't on purpose; the game was on at the bar). The Huskies had starters still playing late in the second half and launching 3s with a 40-point lead, seemingly so Brockman could get his double-double and Appleby could set the school record for 3s in a game. Stay classy, Lorenzo Romar.

CJ, a 10-6 SEC record won't matter for Kentucky. That loss to Vandy, coupled with barely beating a crappy LSU team, will keep the Cats out of the big dance.

If you knew the backstory, you wouldn't question why. Lorenzo showed a tremendous amount of class in this situation.

Lorenzo played on a UW team that got thumped by OSU by about 40 points at home after a UW player knocked out an OSU player's tooth with a deliberate elbow. Ralph Miller made a point that afternoon; today is Lo's payback, about 18 years later.

Heard some interesting rumors last night from a fairly credible source; Tony Bennett's bailing on WSU after this season for Indiana (even though his sister got fired there) or some other Midwestern job, and that Gillespie might be ready to leave UK after one season for Okie State if T Boone can come up with the cash.

No, UK won't make it to the NCAA Tournament unless it somehow finds a way to knock off Tennessee again or make a run through the SEC Tourney.

But I was just saying that the way UK started off, 11-5 didn't even seem like it was in the question. 5-11 seemed more accurate. It would at least be a solid conference finish and something to build on.
