Rutgers would make a good A10 conference member

A story in The New York Times today said this about Rutgers: "....Rutgers, which mainly competes for the title of America’s worst-run athletic program."

Have not seen anywhere that says Bruce Weber has been let go.......this has to be the easiest decision in the world for KSU.
3 teams in Big 12 did not make tournament this year........TCU (fired) Okie State (fired) Kansas State (has to be......)

Actually, if the other two are looking - it might be best to give him another year. Figure you are much more attractive being the only Big 12 opening than having to compete with TCU and OK State.

I don't think Weber is going to get it done at K-State long term, but he was always going to get a pass on this season after getting rid of some talented malcontents in the offseason.

The Wade kid could be a stud, but he needs to put on about 30 pounds in the offseason.

I don't see a lot of Stanford basketball, so I don't know the answer to this question: Can Johnny Dawkins coach? You'd think he'd get another shot in somewhat short order, no?

Billy Donlon has been fired from Wright State. As an alum, good bye and good riddance!

Hard to imagine Wright State realistically thinking there's an upgrade out there.

Perhaps. But he always struck me as incredibly dull and lacking in charisma. Say all you want about academic standards and the shallow recruiting pool. Before Dawkins arrived, the program had been to the NCAAs in 15 of 16 years.

Maybe you get somebody young who needs a first head coaching gig. Monmouth doesn't have a ton to offer, but got King Rice for the time being.

He did little here to advance the program. Got some conference wins in one of the nation's worst leagues and made a couple runs only two lose in the finals every time. Meanwhile Wright State got smacked in every nonconference game that mattered, and he consistently didn't recruit decent Dayton-area guys that instead have went to places like Oakland, Bowling Green and Miami.

WSU will never be Xavier or Dayton but they can be a lot better than the slow-down teams Donlon produced who shot worse than most area high schools teams.
