    I remember when that happened, most freaky thing I've seen at a sporting event. If I remember correctly, wasn't he back on the ice in, like, a week.

    True hockey player.

    Actually I thought he was out for a while, much like Zednik this past season.

    Wiki has him returning to practice four days after the injury and playing about a week later. So less than 2 weeks.

    Only spent one night in the hospital.

    Well done. Got a little dusty in here for a moment. Still incredible he survived both the skate incident and then the attempted suicide. Gland to see his life is finally in order, at least it appears to be.

    An uplifting end to his story. I hope he is able to stay on the good track.

    Also, I note that this thread -- started back in 2008 -- has a thread from our late friend editorhoo. It's coming up on four years since his passing. He didn't carry the cache in the business that a couple of our other deceased members did, but I still miss him all the same.
