Classic (Or Popular; Or Hit) Movies You've Never Seen

The Blazing Saddles thread made think, I've never seen it.

I have no idea how Big ends — even though I've watched it five times from the start. I've always had to leave, stop, whatever.

I've never seen the ending to the Graduate, even though I started watching it twice on cable in the same month.

I've never seen the Godfather start to finish. And never attempted any sequel either.

    I'm sure there are more.

    Anyone else?

    Independence Day.

    The Hunt for Red October.

    Lord of the Rings.

    Star Wars.

    Etc.

Yes. Add Lord of the Rings to my list. And I own it! I have no desire to watch it.

Also, I only recently finally saw how Red October ends.

None of the Harry Potters, no star wars or Lord of the Rings. None of the Matrix sequels. Seeing a pattern here?

I've never seen The Graduate, either. There are a truck-load of movies I've never seen. I hadn't watched all of The Breakfast Club until last summer.

I'm with spup, too. If Sandler starred in Harry Potter ... maybe.

Never seen any Harry Potter films, never seen any of the Matrix films and have yet to see any Rocky films other than the first.

    I'm watching Diner right now.

    Wizard of Oz.

Pretty much any major movie of the past 30 years that everyone raves about.

I wish I could still put Animal House on this list.

I don't like these fantasy pieces. I don't care how hyped a movie is, I have no interest in fantasy. I just can't do it. I only recently saw The Godfather movies because Doc forced me to. I still haven't seen the first two bourne's, but dammit, like Mikey, I can tell you all day what Mr. Belding was wearing in the last season of Saved by the Bell during the sock hop.

Oh, and I refuse to watch the Rocky films. It doesn't make Doc too happy.

    I love "Diner."

Barry Levinson, after making "Tin Men," said the four salesmen are sitting in the same diner as the four young men in "Diner," that the two movies occur during the same point in time.

    My list:

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
    All Harry Potter movies
All Lord of the Ring movies
    The Matrix sequels
    Toy Story
Most of the animated hits, in fact

Good one. Haven't seen that, either.

As I told a member last night, I have sad sad tastes in movies. I could deal with watching Hairspray and HSM and Grease all the time... well, add a few others in, too, but I don't watch a lot of "acclaimed" films. :)
