espn.com now reporting that the cards have had a "change of heart" overnight and will stick with warner over leinart.

what a joke. first mort "breaks" the news on monday night that it's gonna be leinart. now he "breaks" the news that it's still gonna be warner.

what a racket. is this the kind of "reporting" e can expect from mort now that espn's in the mnf biz?

mort wasn't wrong, of course. denny green just changed his mind. ??? ??? ???

The Arizona Republic reported this morning that no decision had been made with Dennis Green pretty firmly saying personnel decisions weren't made until Tuesdays. I think Mort's source came from the University of Phoenix.

Well it looks like Warner is still going to be the starter in Arizona.

  5. Hey Shockey: We can't all be as good as you were, back when you were on the NFL beat, and got your ass kicked on a daily basis. At least Mort didn't get yanked off his beat, huh Shockey?

i haven't been yanked off the nfl beat, dickbag. get your facts straight.

mort's aces. but he whiffed on this one and espn tried covering it up with this "change of mind overnight" bullcrap. just own up to being wrong. everyone whiffs on occasion. it's the weak-ass cover-up that's laughable, not the original mistake.

Mort should stick to being a cell phone saleman.

I love how the ticker on ESPNews says Warner will start despite earlier reports saying Leinart would start.

If "ESPN's Chris Mortensen, John Clayton, Len Pasquarelli, etc. is reporting" something and gets credit for "breaking" something, they should give them and ESPN credit for fucking something up.

You're talking about a company that's now getting into the credit card business.

We're about 5 years from ESPN: The Housing Tract and ESPN: The Grocery Store and ESPN: The Tampon.

They're not interested in credibility because credibility doesn't make money.

Mustardbased just scooped all your asses: Jay Cutler will start after the bye week for the Broncos.

Just scooped everybody again: Mike Shanahan has changed his mind. Plummer will start against the Ravens.

    This is easy.
