We will be advertising an opening soon. Wanted to post it here first. This is a hybrid position. The person covers Jackson State football and helps with a variety of other assignments, from high schools to minor league baseball to pro golf (we have a PGA Tour event each summer).

We want to move quickly to fill this.

The Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger has an immediate opening for a versatile reporter to cover Jackson State football and handle other assignments. The ideal candidate will have several years experience at a daily newspaper and be as comfortable breaking news on Twitter and their blog, shooting video with their iPhone and developing an enterprise package (text and video) that runs online only as they are covering games.
