Maybe give it more time? Jesus came back from the dead in that time, but otherwise, three days isn't enough time to do anything big.

  6. Well, he did post a call for resumes a month ago (http://www.sportsjournalists.com/forum/threads/40221/), then posted on APSE. Sure, it is a bit fast, but not without reason.

  7. No movement here, boys, according to my source close to Rusty Hampton.

Rusty -- a gentleman and a scholar indeed -- needs someone talented for this position. Lest he go raiding MY staff. BOOOOOOOOO.

I was offered the job but my demands, I think, exceeded what is currently available for compensation.
I asked to be an at-large writer of occasional Mississippi JUCO Football Circuit columns --and-- I insisted on serving as daily beat writer for the Jackson Lanier boys' basketball program.
Those two demands would go alongside my expected layout responsibilities.
Rusty said this was entirely too much to include in my package.
    We parted amicably.
    And the search was resumed.

You wanted to don the Scooba gear, as it were?
