The only two we have received this year so far have been from Jewish friends. Not holiday cards, Christmas cards. I found this funny.

That's because Christians are too cheap to spring for Christmas cards.

I've taken a page from Moddy, sending cards to all but a select few get a Christmas CD. My second year doing it, actually. My CD, though, tends to slant traditional with slight jazz twinge.

    This year:
    1. Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow (Harry Connick Jr.)
    2. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas (Rosemary Clooney)
    3. It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas (Bing Crosby)
    4. I’ll Be Home For Christmas (Michael Buble)
    5. ’Twas the Night Before Christmas (Narrated by Dick Van Dyke)
    6. The Christmas Song (Nat King Cole)
    7. White Christmas (Dean Martin)
    8. This Christmas (Harry Connick Jr.)
    9. Cool Yule (Louis Armstrong)
    10. Sleigh Ride (The Brian Setzer Orchestra)
    11. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (Trans-Siberian Orchestra)
    12. Yes, Virginia, There Is a Santa Claus (Narrated by Robert Lurtsema)
    13. Santa Claus Is Coming to Town (Straight No Chaser)
    14. O Little Town of Bethlehem (Chris Botti)
    15. Gabriel’s Message (Moya Brennan)
    16. Mary Did You Know? (Clay Aiken)
    17. Nativity Story (Narrated by Liam Neeson)
    18. The First Noel (National Philharmonic Orchestra of London)
    19. Silent Night (Sarah McLachlin)
    20. O Holy Night (Straight No Chaser)
    21. Ave Maria (Josh Groban)
    22. Adeste Fidelis (Andrea Bocelli)
    23. Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy (Bing Crosby & David Bowie)
    24. Auld Lang Syne (Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin)

That's a good list. Nice twist with Deano in White Christmas.

Check out Last Christmas by The Cocktail Slippers on youtube. They rock it (I hate the Wham version).

Ooh, that is good. It'll be on next year's CD. I also will have Armstrong's "Zat You, Santa Claus?" on next year's. I would've included it this year, but it was on the Christmas 2008 disc and I'd already had enough repeats on this year's edition.

Not bad, but you have to find a spot for Elvis and "Blue Christmas" somewhere.
