    That analogy might apply to prior "splinter groups." But not this one.

    The prior version I best recall involved a poster who voluntarily led an insurrection to another board, and then restricted who could join.

    This version involves a poster who was involuntarily forced to leave, but openly invites anyone who wants to join the new board on whatever terms are preferred.

    Can we agree that these are distinctly different things?

    If I forbid a guy who shits in my flower bed from visiting my house, I really don’t care if he shits in his own flower bed.
