Chris Berman, world's worst commencement speaker

SportsJournalists.com favorite spoke at Greenwich High School in Connecticut last Friday, and apparently did poorly:

I love that the world is slowly learning what a miserable fuck that asshole is.

 

Of all the ways to rip on Chris Berman, this is a patently stupid one. A bunch of kids trying to shock-jock their way on Twitter say he sucked? Excellent reporting. Young kids think old guy is boring, film at 11.

I would have no problem believing he wasn't good if there were some kind of decent account of it, but this is just people thinking they're the cool kids picking on an easy target.

 

I'm sure someone has video, at least up to the point where the memory card was full or the battery wore out.

 

Did he say "You're with me, valedictorian" to anybody?

Any school that had Berman as commencement speaker should lose its accreditation.

Actually, if Berman gave a commencement speech consisting of nothing but his inane catch phrases, I'd give credit for humorous self-awareness.

 

And it's Greenwich, they can probably get almost anyone they want...
