I hope they both do. I just don't put it past that committee to keep someone waiting while they get to holdovers first.

Counting just defensive backs as a whole, there are only four who played after 1994 who have been inducted -- Green, Sanders, (Rod) Woodson and Aeneas Williams. The most recent season by a HOF DB was Sanders in 2005.

It took Williams, a three-time all-pro and eight pro bowls, three tries to get enshrined.

Jon Lynch is about to enter finalist appearance number four with two all-pro and nine pro bowls.

13 years after becoming eligible, Steve Atwater finally made finalist in 2016 with two first team all pro and 8 pro bowls

Ty Law has been a semifinalist the last two years with two all-pro and five pro bowls.

Darren Woodson can't get to the semifinal list with three all-pro and five pro bowls.

Joey Browner cant get to the semifinal list with three all-pro and six pro bowls

LeRoy Butler can't get to the semifinal list with four all-pro and four pro bowls

If you want to put Tillman behind Bailey and Woodson as lock HOFs, then you go to Revis (4 all=pro and 7 pro bowls and counting), Sherman (3 all pro and 3 pro bowls and counting) and Patrick Peterson (who already has three all-pro and five pro bowls)

I'm with you on Tillman (though I'm a fan) but I'm going to stop you on Urlacher. There's absolutely zero chance he isn't first ballot.
